An assessment and follow up appointments enable your rehabilitation and pain relief to progress. The time frame to recovery is sometimes more predictable after the first few sessions. Consistency with your appointments usually results in faster, more effective recovery.

Initial appointments are usually 60 minutes; time is allocated for your assessment, treatment and planning of an ongoing strategy for recovery.

Our Detailed Musculoskeletal Assessment & Diagnosis – This includes discussion of your issues, movement & biomechanical analysis, examination of the affected areas, review of any scans provided & diagnosis based on the findings. You will find that we assess you more thoroughly than most practitioners. This is essential for the fastest road to recovery to be identified.

Manual Therapy – Our skilled hands-on treatments include, joint mobilisation and manipulation, traction, massage and assistive release of tissues and nerves.  This is done in pain relieving positions to ensure you feel maximum benefit.  This is an important part of rehab of many injuries and Therapy Max Physios are extremely skilled with what many clients call their “hands that work magic”.

Personal Training, Gym & Home Exercise Programs – Stretching, strengthening & physical exercise is important component of fitness. Hydrotherapy – Water based exercise may be used exclusively or in combination with other modalities to assist your recovery.  Hydrotherapy (LINK) is very therapeutic.

Pilates – Therapy Max combines traditional Pilates with modern injury management approach. We focus on core stability and the work of connecting muscles at the hips and shoulders to build strength right from the trunk & out to the extremities. It also focuses on mobility of all joints helping to limit those moving excessively or causing pain or poor posture, strength. Pilates can be taught individually or in our Fit Back Classes. Taping – This aids joint protection, proprioception & muscle biofeedback is a regular part of many physiotherapy treatments.

Dry Needling – a newer muscular release technique and used by some Therapy Max physios. (LINK)

Education & Advice – Therapy Max physios can provide understanding of how and why your injury has occurred or re-occurs; advise on suitable exercise, ergonomic changes and other self-help strategies.

Orthotic Fitting – Therapy Max physiotherapists are skilled in gait analysis, running assessments and through biomechanical analysis can determine if fitting of orthotics, may improve injury recovery, walking comfort and sports performance.
